You can test it yourself easy. Start the truck and unplug the connector while it's running. See if there is a change in noise. Typically the FCA will peg at 29k and rattle like a 12v when it's bad/removed. Any idea what brand they installed? See if there is a change in noise. Typically the FCA will peg at 29k and rattle like a 12v when it's bad/removed. Any idea what brand they installed? All is well until today as I'm headed out of town with a big heavy gooseneck race car trailer and I threw a P0088 code. The truck would surge to high idle about 150 rpm. Just noticeably. Then under light to heavy throttle you could feel it surge a little. The desired fuel pressure would be say 12k but the actual would be 18-20k.
